The Amazing Six Waterfalls Hiking Tour - Brecon Beacons

Transport can sometimes be offered at no further charge. Please discuss prior to booking if you need a lift to attend :) Andy's Amazing Waterfalls Walk is a 15km day with 400m of ascent and is over often rough, muddy and broken ground but doable by most although some feel pretty tired at the end of the day. We visit six waterfalls of note and several smaller falls too. One, sometimes two of the waterfalls are available to walk behind as that is where the footpath takes us! We have been delivering walks at this location for over thirty years and his knowledge of the area, it's industrial heritage and it's natural environments, will be his to share with you as you take in the best valley walks in Brecon Beacons National Park! Please Note A reasonable level of fitness is required for all of our walks. As our walks are open to all, clients who are considerably slower than average will be asked at a suitable and safe point on the hike to head back to the start.

My Mum & I joined Andy and fellow walkers in September 2018 and it was an amazing day. It was a very wet day in the Brecons but it made all the waterfalls even more impressive! Suitable for all ages and levels of walking experience. Andy was great, very knowledgable, chatty and helped bond the group together throughout the day. 10/10 would recommend!

Second time I’ve done this walk with family members including 2 teenage boys. Didn’t disappoint either time! Fabulous day out with an experienced guide takes the worry out of finding your way through the beautiful scenery. Definitely need boots, snacks, plenty of water and a good lunch! Wear layers as the landscape and level of sun and shade changes all day. Stunning scenery. Well worth every penny! 😊

Really enjoyed the walk, best day out in ages. I was a bit daunted going alone but Andy and the other walkers were easy company, I could never have found all the waterfalls by myself and there were little challenges along the way or easier routes depending on energy levels, the walk suited all kids of people! Still smiling the day after walking :-)

Andy is a super professional and efficient guide! He showed up right on time and provided us loads of options for the hiking paths. He brought us adventure and joy! While we walk, he constantly guided us through history of Walsh mining, geographical locations, industrial history and so much more. He’s greatly knowledgeable about the area. It was a lovely walk but you could do it alone quite easily because there are lots of maps to follow. It’s quite a difficult walk but very enjoyable. Some difficult ground to walk on and slippery surfaces when wet.

I've been wanting to do this walk for some time so decided to sign up on Easter Sunday. I did the walk solo, with the group & I needn't have worried as everyone was so friendly. Andy is very knowledgeable and very patient as I was at times a little slow. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and it's a great day - would advise hiking boots, and layers as can be colder/warmer depending on area. Pack a lunch and bring some cash for an ice cream half way round. Highly recommend and would love to do this again.

I had a great time walking. Andy was really nice and helpful, and he understood that I was new to long treks, so he let me explore things in my own space. When I said I wasn't going to finish this, he was encouraging and motivated. This waterfall's viewpoint is spectacular, and we visited a variety of trees and mushrooms, ancient walkways, and coal mining. I highly recommend Andy as your tour guide.

The waterfall walk was beautiful, stunning and at times scary. Our group of 8 comprised three groups who made friends along the way, helping each other when it was slippery or steep. Andy is attentive and experienced and looked out for us all the way. Some of us were slow - we walked from 10 to 5.30 - but Andy was relaxed and never pressured us to go faster than our comfort speed. A great day of 25,600 steps!

Andy took us through the array of waterfalls with the first and the last one being the best where you could walk behind the waterfall. There were many other stunning waterfall with one even looking like a mini Niagra falls. We spent more than 6 hours with him and his friendly dog Mali. The lunch break was also a delight which would have normally remained closed for tourists on the day we visited, however since Andy is a regular customer, we were allowed in and could indulge in some delightful food. Many Thanks for a memorable day.

First things first I would like to thank Andy for his advice on visiting the waterfalls, haven't met him only through email, but his advice was very helpful in making my mind up to go and visit, unfortunately due to my health issues (breathlessness) especially when walking any distance. He advised to do it with family and friends so we can go at our pace and enjoy the experience of our natural surroundings, not got there yet but I will one day.

Andy our guide picked both of us up from our hotel.and dropped as back. Andy was also very flexible in dropping us back at our chosen location, instead of our hotel, as it was on his route back. This helped us immensely, as were we returning home that day. This trip is well worth its money. Alot of walking involved (approx 10 miles over 6 hours) but the views and the many waterfalls are worth it! Andy was kind, polite, patient and went out of his way to help you and make you feel comfortable,as some of us sometimes got nervous, crossing certain terrain. He provided lots of fun and interesting information during the hike and was always approachable, when we wanted to ask him any questions. I would highly recommend this activity, especially as a family activity. Andy was even kind enough to buy us all ice lollies half through our trek, as the weather was scorching hot. It was a very welcome gesture. Any questions we had for Andy prior to our trip, he responded in good time and helpful information. During the trip Andy was even more helpful. If Andy has anymore activities in the future, i wouldnt hesitate to book with him again.

We'd stayed the night before in the lodge where the walk starts, great little village with a couple of nice pubs Met Andy and another couple for the walk, had a quick but informative brief before we set off The walk was amazing, the rivers, streams, rapids and indeed the waterfalls were in full flow, had a lunch break at a great little retreat, the last waterfall you actually get to walk behind which was fantastic Great day with the weather holding out for us. Andy was polite, knowledgeable and had a good sense of humour - Oh and he doesn't like sheep!!
